Five years after starting mediatechnology I am finally starting my graduation. I have to admit I gave up on it a while ago, given that an amazing two-and-a-half-year-old, a lovely girlfriend and a really nice job at Waag Society are almost more then I could ask for, but also take up most of my time ( not that I’m complaining ). However, the opportunity was there, and with a kind of now-or-never feeling I suddenly found myself registered as a student at the University of Leiden again!
My graduation will be about creating sound from video. Something that I’ve been wanting to do while studying at the AKI and that has popped up again. This time, however, I will have the skill, theory, software and computing power needed :-)
I will be using OpenCV mixed with python and SuperCollider for image analysis and sound generation.
